Now We Know Where the National Is in 2028
Plus highlights from current memorabilia auctions
This week’s newsletter is an abbreviated one, as I continue to ruminate on what I’d like to deliver you week to week, so I’ll continue to test some things out and see what feels like a good fit. Unfortunately, I wasn’t at the National this past week, so I have nothing to report other than a tinge of jealousy. My friend and fellow Vintage Card Voyage host Ken was there and he was able to buy a card he’s been wanting for some time, something he may talk about on a future video.
In this issue you'll find:
A vintage Hall of Fame rookie card and player profile
Highlights from current auctions
News in the hobby
Recent Vintage Card Voyage video
Let’s get into it.
Vintage Hall of Fame Rookie: 1980 Topps Rickey Henderson #482
This card was the first one I drew for the newsletter (for the Eddy’s Cardboard Chaos Q&A) and it’s probably my favorite card, as it’s the one that really kickstarted my entrance into the hobby. And I thought it would be a great card to start a new series, briefly profiling Hall of Fame rookie cards and the players themselves.
